Sephora VIB Sale Haul

My sephora package arrived in the mail this past week.  Since I love unboxing and haul videos and posts, thought I would post mine here!  This was you can see what I included in my previous post in my "recommendations and wishlist" and what I actually picked up from the sale.  I've already decided I need more of the Natasha Deanna Highlighters! It is gorgeous on the skin.

I've also had the chance to use the Soft Glam palette my Anastasia.  Perfect for a conference I went to this past week for work.  Subtle but gorgeous, or soft but glam (see what I did there 😊).

Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations & Wishlist

So, I have a confession to make.  I love makeup and skincare.  A little too much.  How much you might ask, well enough to be a Sephora VIB Rouge member.  If you are not familiar with what that means, stay unfamiliar if you want to save your money. 😉

Anyways, this year, the VIB Rouge sale at Sephora starts this upcoming Friday, August 24, 2018 and goes all the way to September 3, 2018.  If you are a VIB or Beauty Insider, both start August 30, 2018.  I always enjoy seeing what other people are interested in buying or what people may be repurchasing, so I figured I would go ahead and post about my list recommendations and wish list for this years sale.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Caudalie - Vine[activ] Overnight Detox Oil.  I really enjoy this oil.  I mix it in with my moisturizer and night for an extra oomph.  There are no harsh ingredients for my skin and this will be my third repurchase of this product.  Another great thing is that it is not that expensive in the first place (as compared to other high end oils).

2. Drunk Elephant - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum.  Obsessed.  I have used other hyaluronic acid serums and none seem to compare to this.  And as you will see in this list, I really like Drunk Elephant products.

3. Drunk Elephant - C-Firma Day Serum. There is no better vitamin c serum.  Buy it.

4. Make Up For Ever - Matte Velvet Skin Full Coverage Foundation.  Whenever I use liquid foundation, I tend to always mix this foundation into whatever foundation I feel like wearing for the day.  It makes my makeup last so much longer.  The color selection for my skin tone is not amazing, which is why I usually mix it with another product, but with that being said, I notice a difference when I don't mix this in.  Highly recommend.

5. First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration.  Great moisturizer.  I really like that the larger size comes in a tube, so I'm not digging in a jar with my hands and contaminating the product.  This way it is also not exposed to the air and can last much longer.

Electric Fireplaces

A friend of mine recently got an electric fireplace in a condo that she is renting.  When I went to visit her and saw it for the first time in person, my latest obsession begun.  ELECTRIC FIREPLACES, who knew! It literally transformed her place.  Here are some basic ones I've been looking at.  I wanted to keep the cost low and the overall look quite simple.

Home Depot was an obvious place to start my search.  I really like the simplistic look of this electric fireplace.  It can be found here and is currently on sale for $386!

There were also some jazzier options, like this one here with marble.  Obviously with the added feature comes a price increase.  It is currently on sale for $553.

There are some that are a little more masculine, at least compared to what my usual taste is! Here is this one in this lovely dark grey, which can be found here.  It is the most expensive so far for $610.10.

Wayfair has some great options as well.  If you just don't want to spend a ton of money and want a simple clean look.  This fireplace here is under $250.


My hunt has only started, so I'm excited to find more options and figure out which is the best one for me!  Happy hunting.

Crystal Chandelier

I have been on the hunt for a decent priced crystal chandelier to add to my kitchen/living area.  I have an area pre-wired above my island and have been trying to find something that would work perfectly!  As with everything else, the struggle to make a decision, or find something that isn't ridiculously overpriced takes time!  I wanted to link together a couple of the pieces I have found.

The chandelier shown above, and found here, is a cheaper and smaller version that is similar to a chandelier I saw in a lighting store that was AMAZING, but also over $4,000.  

PB Teen may not be the first website one would think to look to find a cute chandelier, but this chandelier found here, is adorable, and under $175!

Talk about glam! How can anyone resist a good crystal chandelier.  The crystals on this one look amazing.  Joss and Main really has a good selection of reasonably priced pieces.  This one here, is currently listed for under $215.

Another great website for crystal chandeliers is Lamps Plus.  If you live near one of their stores, I also recommend going.  Seeing the pieces in person can really change your opinion on a piece.  The one shown above, found here, is stunning in person.  The crystals are huge and make such a statement.
